President & Village Board of Trustees

Responsibilities

The President and Village Board of Trustees constitute the legislative body of the Village with the Village President serving as Chief Executive Officer. The President and Village Board oversee the following areas:

  • Adoption of ordinances and resolutions
  • Adoption of an annual Budget
  • Approval of payment for expenses and liabilities
  • Determination of policy under which the Village operates
  • Appointment of personnel

Village Clerk

The Village Clerk maintains all Village records including minutes, licenses, ordinances, and resolutions. The Village Clerk is also the custodian of the Village seal, publishes legal notices, and oversees Village elections.

Village residents are also appointed to various boards and commissions to advise and assist the President and Board in policy-making decisions.
