Village’s Refuse Hauler Changed on August 1, 2020
Effective August 1, 2020, the Village of La Grange has contracted Flood Brothers Disposal to be the new refuse, recycling and yard waste service provider for single and two-family households. The services will continue in a manner similar to the Republic Services program, but additional options will be available to residents at reduced pricing.
Residents can continue to use stickers purchased through Republic Services until the end of 2020.
For information regarding the new refuse program, please view Frequently Asked Questions.

Pay Per Container Charge / Sticker Program
Residents have the option of choosing to affix a sticker on each can or bag of waste or to subscribe to a two-wheeled cart option. For information, please view the Pay Per Container Charge. Residents use an 18 gallon recycling bin in conjunction with this program or can contract for a recycling cart with Flood Brothers Disposal. Recycling bins remain with the residence. Replacement bins are available at the Village Hall. For more information regarding recycling, please visit Recycling.
Two-wheeled Cart Program
Residents have the option of choosing to subscribe to a two-wheeled cart refuse and recycling container with several size options. Sizes for refuse and recycling carts include 95-gallon, 65-gallon and 35-gallon (senior rate). Depending on how much waste is disposed of each month, it may be more cost-effective to subscribe to the two-wheeled cart service. To subscribe, please call Flood Brothers Disposal at (630) 261-0400. For more information, please view the Toter / Refuse Cart Service.
Spring Clean-Up Program
The Village offers an annual Spring Clean-Up program as part of its refuse disposal program. Details regarding the program vary from year-to-year and are advertised on the Village’s website, Village newsletter, and media sources. Yard Waste is not included in the Spring Clean-Up program and some items such as hazardous materials, construction debris and the like are also not accepted. A complete list of unacceptable items is provided prior to each annual event.
Residents participating in the program are asked to affix the required number of stickers on their regular refuse can or other similar objects that will not be taken by scavengers prior to the arrival of the refuse disposal truck so that the stickers are not inadvertently lost.
Participation in the Spring Clean-Up program can encourage reuse and recycling initiatives as items are "picked" from the curb by individuals and recyclers typically the night before the event.
