Solicitations and Opt-Outs
Solicitation Licenses
As a public service, the Village advises residents of upcoming solicitations. The purpose of the announcement is to let Village residents know that door-to-door or on-street solicitation has been approved by the Village. Hours of solicitation are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday unless waived.
Village approval is contingent on the organization agreeing to comply with local ordinances. Approval does not mean that the Village endorses the solicitation.
Register for inclusion on the "No Solicitor" list.
As with all solicitations, if your "No Solicitor" decal has not been observed, if you are uncomfortable or suspicious with the solicitor's demeanor, or you are uncertain as to the validity of the solicitation, please do not hesitate to call 911.
The Village has tentatively granted permission for the following not-for-profit organizations to solicit as follows:
- Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana
