[ARCHIVED] Bicycle Plan Online Survey

The Active Transportation Alliance, in conjunction with the West Central Municipal Conference, is undertaking an effort to survey residents about bicycling in our region. The survey is part of a larger Communities Putting Prevention to Work obesity prevention grant.

The goal of the plan is to identify 10-16 priority regional corridors that would facilitate fast, efficient and safe bicycle transportation through the region. The group has also been asked to focus on improving existing routes / trails where disconnections at major streets may be hindering bicycle riding efforts.

The Active Transportation Alliance is seeking insight and public comment from area residents regarding the proposed corridors, key regional destinations, potential barriers for completion, and existing assets in the network.

An online survey has been developed so that residents may voice their opinions about bicycling in our region. Local residents can help identify areas of interest, safety concerns and connections that are needed in order to allow for potential future improvements.

To access the survey, please click on the link below. The survey will take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Please submit your completed comments by August 19, 2011.

Thank you for your assistance. If you have any questions, please contact the Active Transportation Alliance at (312) 427-3325 or the Village of La Grange at (708) 579-2315.
