On Monday, December 5, 2011, Commonwealth Edison will begin replacing approximately 1,115 feet of underground cable on Edgewood Avenue between 51st Street and Birks Court. This work is expected to take approximately one week to complete.
The Village has been working closely with Com Ed to receive reliability data and information regarding planned improvements related to general areas of outage related concern. The replacement cable work in this area was identified by Com Ed in order to help improve electrical system reliability for approximately 366 customers in La Grange that had been impacted by the severe storm cycles in 2011 and other recent outages.
The Village continues to work closely with Com Ed to help facilitate ongoing equipment upgrades and other targeted improvements throughout La Grange. If you have questions about Com Ed system reliability, please contact Andrianna Peterson, Assistant Village Manager at (708) 579-2315.
The work will take place within the public right-of-way. Access to all driveways and roadways will be available during construction.
