[ARCHIVED] Police Department Alert for La Grange Businesses

The Village of La Grange Police Department would like to provide local businesses with the following “scam alert”.

It has been recently reported that a male person has entered several local businesses claiming that an employee had spilled something or soiled his clothing which then needed to be professionally dry cleaned. Indicating that he plans on having a party at their location in the future, he presents the business with a bill from a dry cleaner and attempts to be reimbursed.

The offender is a white male, between the ages of 28 and 35 years, with short dark hair. He is about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He is very persuasive in his speech and manners.

If you encounter this person please notify the La Grange Police immediately by calling 9-1-1. If you have additional information, call the non-emergency phone number (708) 579-2333 and ask to speak to an Investigative Officer.
