The elected officials for the Village of La Grange have announced that they will be hosting a series of Town Meetings throughout the Village. According to Village President Elizabeth Asperger, “A Town Meeting forum brings Village government closer to its citizens. It is an excellent means of direct communication between Village residents and their elected officials.”
Dates and locations are as follows:
Monday, September 24 - Seventh Avenue School / Gymnasium, 701 Seventh Avenue
Monday, October 22 - Ogden Avenue School / Gymnasium, Ogden and Waiola Avenue
Monday, November 26 - Community Center, 200 Washington Avenue
All meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be a brief Village Board meeting, followed by a discussion with the audience. Although these Town Meetings are intended as an opportunity for the elected officials to listen and respond to topics of interest to the particular neighborhood in which the meeting is being held, residents are invited to attend any or all of these meetings. A social hour will follow each meeting at which time light refreshments will be served.
