A winter storm warning is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon until 3 AM Friday. Intense snow fall rates, reduced visibility and sustained winds of 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are predicted. The heaviest snowfall and lowest visibility is anticipated between 5 and 9 p.m.
As this is the first winter storm of the season, the Village would like to remind residents of the following storm preparedness information:

ComEd is also on alert due to the anticipated high winds and will open their Emergency Response Center at 3:00 PM today. Call ComEd to report outages and/or downed power lines at 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661). Sign up for outage alerts on your mobile devices by texting the word "OUT" to 26633 (Com Ed) to report an outage and receive restoration information.
