On May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce & Industry will partner with Lyons Township High School and other area business volunteers and sponsors to accept old and out-of-use computers, printers, hardware and various other recyclables. Recycling is offered free-of-charge but tax deductible donations will be accepted.
This is the eighth annual event. More than 400,000 pounds of material have been collected at the event through the years, serving about 500 families and businesses per year. All hard drives are cleaned to National Defense Department standards.
