A Code Red notification has been issued for all subscribers of the Village's automated system. At approximately 3:15 p.m., a man offered candy to a teenaged girl from his vehicle near the intersection of Cossitt and Ashland Avenues. The man is described as African American, bald and in his 40s. The vehicle is described as a small black 4-door car with silver trim around the trunk and windows. The girl did not approach the car and the driver was last seen heading east toward La Grange Road.
