The Village of La Grange experienced two separate incidences last Friday, September 27 between the hours of 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. In both incidences, teenage boys were robbed by two male black offenders in their late teens to early twenties. In one case, the offenders demanded money and the victim complied. In the other, one victim complied and the other did not. The second victim was subsequently accosted and had their wallet and cell phone removed from their person.
There were no injuries. Furthermore, the offenders did not imply that they had weapons, nor did they display any weapons.
The two incidences are actively under investigation. These were crimes of opportunity given the time of the incidences and age of the victims.
