Commonwealth Edison has announced targeted vegetation management work for specific areas of La Grange beginning in early November.
The work includes tree trimming that is in addition to regular cyclical trimming work and/or tree removal activities located within the rear lot line of certain properties.
Specific areas of the community targeted for this work as a result of a review by ComEd of its system performance records include properties located behind Waiola and Spring Avenues, between Burlington Avenue and 54th Street. Other areas include properties located behind N. Catherine and N. Ashland, between Hillgrove and Ogden Avenue, as well as between Ashland and Madison, between Hillgrove and Ogden Avenues. Other more sporadic tree trimming work is anticipated throughout the community as identified by ComEd.
ComEd field inspectors have notified residents in the targeted areas whose trees are potentially affected either by personal discussion or by leaving door cards if no one was available.
If your address is included in the areas targeted and you have not been in contact with a ComEd representative about this planned work, or if you have any additional questions concerning the targeted tree trimming program, please contact 1-800-Edison-1 and ask to speak with a vegetation management representative.
The Village continues to work closely with ComEd to identify additional system reliability improvements throughout the community.
If you have questions about ComEd system reliability, please contact Andrianna Peterson, Assistant Village Manager at (708) 579-2315.
