A community Shred Day / Recycling Event will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 9 a.m. to noon at the north parking lot of the Park District of La Grange located at 536 East Avenue.
The event is sponsored by State Representative Michael Zalewski, the Village of La Grange and the Park District of La Grange.
Shredding - Accepted Materials:
Documents such as old bank statements, outdated medical records, old tax returns, pay stubs, old bills, receipts, and credit card applications. Please remove all paper clips, staples and other bindings.
Habitat for Humanity Restore - Accepted Materials:

Appliances (see website), kitchen cabinets, doors, flooring (wood and tile), furniture (see website), air conditioners (functional), lighting, millwork (no nails), plumbing, tools (working order), windows (vinyl double hung only).
SCARCE (School & Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education):
School and office supplies, musical instruments, yarn, eyeglasses, hearing aids
Cork, keys, non working pens and markers, BRITA and PUR water filters, empty tape dispensers and rolls.
