On July 24, the Village experienced a severe rain event which resulted in widespread flooding.
The Village’s primary focus as a result of the storms has been customer service – assisting residents in need, providing resources, and answering questions.
We are also in the process of systematically evaluating and televising the Village’s sewer system to determine whether or not the system is performing as designed or if modifications / repairs are necessary.
The information collected as a part of the evaluation process is being compiled and will be used in preparation of an upcoming public meeting which is scheduled for Monday, October 18. The meeting will be held in the Village Hall Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m.
The meeting will include an overview of how our sewer system is configured and operates; its relationship to the Deep Tunnel; long-range infrastructure planning; flood control measures available to homeowners and the like.
