The Illinois Department of Transportation has notified the Village that due to the lack of a State budget, a shutdown of state and federal funded construction projects will occur beginning June 30, 2017.  The work shut down will affect the La Grange Road, Ogden Avenue and Locust Avenue Improvement project. 

The contractor for the project has finished patching the roadway where the new water and sewer utilities were recently installed.  The next step was to begin the roadway widening, however the contractor has been directed by IDOT to not start this work until the State's budget matter is resolved.  Please be advised that all lanes will be open to traffic and the contractor will be maintaining safety barricades and temporary traffic signals during the delay.

Please be advised that the delay will extend the project completion date for the project.  Construction was expected to occur throughout the summer and fall with an anticipated completion date of November, 2017.  Depending on the length of the delay, the project could now extend into the spring of 2018.

The Village will advise residents when we are notified that the work will resume.
