Due to declining on-site ticket sales, BNSF / Metra has reported that they will no longer provide an on-site ticket agent at the Stone Avenue Station after Friday, August 4. Ticket agent services have already been discontinued at the Riverside and Brookfield stations.
The station will still be generally open during morning commuting times.
After August 4, customers will be able to use cash to purchase a One-Way Ticket on board from a conductor at no extra cost. In addition, customers can purchase tickets from an agent or vending machine at all five downtown stations, online at metrarail.com or through the free Ventra App, available in the App Store and Google Play.
