[ARCHIVED] Parking Structure Waterproofing Repair

On Monday, October 2, 2017 waterproofing membrane repairs will begin on the parking structure located at 6th Avenue and Harris Avenue.  The work will consist of recoating the water proof traffic topping in the drive lane, and pavement markings on the first and second levels of the parking structure.

In order to perform this work the second and third floors of the parking garage will be closed.  We anticipate that these areas will be closed to parking starting on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00 am to Friday, October 6, 2017 at 5:00 pm.

The first floor of the parking structure will remain open to parking while the work is occurring.

In order to accommodate parking for users that will be temporarily displaced, the Village has authorized parking in Lot 14 (intersection of Locust and Ogden Avenue).  The Village will also temporarily suspend on-street parking restrictions on adjacent side streets while the work is being performed.  Adjacent side streets where parking will be allowed include 6th, 7th, and 8th Avenues from Burlington Avenue to Elm Avenue.  Overnight parking restrictions will remain in effect.

Please see attached notice and parking garage map for more information.

We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from this work and thank you in advance for your understanding as the Village completes this important maintenance activity.

If you have any questions regarding the work or have special needs that are of concern, please contact the Department of Public Works at (708) 579-2328.
