The La Grange, Western Springs and Countryside Police Departments have received several reports of burglaries from motor vehicles overnight. Over twenty reports of vehicles being unlawfully entered in the early hours of November 27, 2017 are currently being investigated. In each instance except one, the unknown offender(s) entered vehicles that were unlocked and parked on residential driveways.
The LGPD continues to work closely with our regional partners to identify suspects.
The La Grange Police Department would like to thank residents for their continued vigilance. Please continue to:
• Keep all vehicle doors and windows closed and locked at all times. Close all windows and the sunroof and do not leave keys inside the vehicle.
• Engage the vehicle’s alarm system if you have one.
• Remove visible items of value (wallet, purse, electronics, etc.) from the vehicle.
