[ARCHIVED] Prescription Drug Take Back Day – Saturday, April 28, 2018

The Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.) is coordinating a national effort to collect unwanted, unused, and expired medications on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The La Grange Police Department will serve as a regional drop off facility.

As a free service to the public, accumulated, unwanted, expired, and unused medications may be dropped off for safe destruction at the La Grange Police Department located at 304 West Burlington Avenue for this event.  Should you be unavailable for this event, the La Grange Police Department has installed a permanent drug disposal box in the lobby, open 24 hrs a day/7 days a week.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS include prescription and non-prescription capsules, pills, gel caps, tablets, patches, ointments, vitamins, over-the-counter medications, and pet medications.

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS include liquids, needles/syringes, bottled/pressurized gases or liquids, any medical equipment, catheters, PICC lines, plastic tubing, or any bio-hazardous materials.
