[ARCHIVED] Law Enforcement National Night Out - August 7, 2018

The La Grange & Western Springs Police Departments and the La Grange & Western Springs Park Districts will be hosting a Law Enforcement National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Upper Spring Rock Park located at 47th Street and Central Avenue in Western Springs.

WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement fostering a true sense of community.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.

Some of the activities at the event include:

-          Dunk tank (dunk a cop)
-          Food Booths/vendors
-          Music/DJ
-          Silent auction to benefit Illinois Special Olympics & Hinsdale Humane Society
-          Police & Fire demos
-          K-9 demonstration
-          Touch A Truck vehicles (police, fire, public works, military)
-          Children’s fingerprint station
-          Business vendors
-          Bubble soccer
