The Village is pleased to announce that the next phase of the Stone Avenue Train Station Renovation Project is planned to begin on Monday, July 30. The project is intended to improve connectivity and accessibility near and to the Stone Avenue Station.
The scope of work includes:
-Improved pedestrian interconnectivity between platforms, the train station, Burlington Avenue, Brainard Avenue and Hillgrove Avenue;
-Removing the drop off area on Hillgrove Avenue and replacing it with diagonal parking; and
-Increased bicycle parking on both sides of the tracks.
The project is anticipated to be completed in November, 2018.
The work is not expected to impact train schedules or access to the platform. Commuters, pedestrians and motorists are urged to obey construction signage. Please make adjustments to your travel schedule as needed to compensate for construction activities.
