In response to the winter weather advisory for frigid temperatures for the next several days, the Village, in cooperation with AMITA La Grange Hospital, is prepared to provide temporary shelter for residents in need of this service between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
If you, a family member or neighbor are in need of such assistance, go directly to AMITA La Grange Hospital (5101 S. Willow Springs Road). Use the emergency room entrance, ask for security, and indicate the need for the emergency shelter. Hospital security will provide an escort to the designated area.
Extreme weather conditions can be especially dangerous for older adults. If you have family members that live in other communities, you may wish to contact those communities to inquire how you can receive similar updates of an emergency nature.
