On Friday, March 20, Governor Pritzker issued Executive Order 2020-10 requiring all Illinoisans to stay in their homes to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The order prohibits gatherings of any size and closes all nonessential establishments including most retail, recreation and entertainment businesses. Restaurants are still open via delivery and carry-out and the order does not prohibit essential activities like going to the grocery store, receiving medical care, or taking your pet for a walk. The stay at home order begins Saturday, March 21 at 5 p.m. through April 7.
Village Administrative offices are closed to the public. Essential village services will continue as normal. Residents are asked to please use the convenient online or phone payment systems to transact village business. Information regarding specific services and options is available here.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) has significant impacts on our businesses. To assist our local businesses, the Village has compiled a list of resources and information. All La Grange residents are asked to please continue to support our restaurants and retailers via delivery and carry-out options or by purchasing gift cards for later use.
The Village Board will conduct a special meeting by telephone on Monday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. The Village Hall will be closed and residents are encouraged to listen from home on Comcast Xfinity Channel 6 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. The audio of the meeting will also be streamed live on Facebook at La Grange IL. Public comments will be taken by e mail at email@example.com at any time prior to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 23.
