On May 20, Governor Pritzker announced updates to Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan which would allow restaurants the option to resume operations for outdoor seating only. Specific details have not yet been issued but are expected to include distancing requirements and health measures for restaurant staff. The Village is working closely with all of our restaurants to provide safe, outdoor dining opportunities as allowed.
In addition to restaurants having the ability to provide outdoor seating in Phase 3:
- All retail stores can open their doors to in-person shopping with IDPH safety precautions and capacity limits in place.
- Health clubs, gyms and fitness studios can provide one-on-one personal training in indoor facilities and outdoor fitness classes of up to ten people with safety precautions.
- Personal care services such as nail salons, spas and barbershops can also open with safety precautions and capacity limits.
- All gatherings of ten people or fewer will also be allowed. Face coverings are required when distancing cannot be obtained.
The Governor has reported that health metrics indicate that Illinois is on track to reach Phase 3 by the end of May.
