[ARCHIVED] Severe Weather Update

La Grange

Com Ed reports that approximately 67% of residents have had their power restored at this time.  Approximately 1,600 residents remain without power this evening, however the majority of those residents are either in the process of being restored or are expected to be restored within the next few hours.

Com Ed also reports that they are continuing to experience technical difficulty with their outage system and in some cases have been unable to provide reliable updates regarding restoration times.  The Village is continuing to be in regular contact with Com Ed.

Public Works crews are removing limbs from the streets and sidewalks. In order to give residents time to collect any limbs on their property, a special brush pick up will be held starting Monday, August 17.  For more information regarding brush pickup guidelines, please visit the Village website.

Do not approach downed power lines.  Com Ed customers can text "OUT" to 26633 (COMED) to report an outage and receive restoration information. Customers can also call 1-800 EDISON1 (1-800-334-7661), or report outages via their website at ComEd.com/Report

To report non-emergencies please call the Lyons Township Area Communications Center at 708-215-3586.

In the event of an emergency please call 9-1-1.
