On May 6, Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health announced that the entire state will move into the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois reopening plan beginning Friday, May 14.
The Bridge Phase allows for increased capacity limits for a variety of businesses. Generally, uses that are allowed 50% capacity in Phase 4 are allowed 60% capacity in the Bridge Phase. The full Bridge Phase can be viewed on the State’s coronavirus website.
Governor Pritzker also announced that, barring any significant reversals in key COVID-19 statewide indicators, Illinois could enter Phase 5 as soon as Friday, June 11. Once the state reaches Phase 5, capacity limitations will be removed. The Illinois Department of Public Health website tracks these metrics and is updated daily.
All Illinois residents 16+ are eligible to receive the vaccine. All state-supported mass vaccination sites, pharmacy partners and others are administering the vaccine to walk-ins or by appointment. Information regarding vaccination locations can be found at the state's COVID website at coronavirus.illinois.gov.
Residents who do not have access to or need assistance navigating online services can call the toll-free IDPH hotline at 833-621-1284 to book an appointment. The hotline is open 7 days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight with agents available in English and Spanish.
The IDPH asks the public to continue to wear face coverings, socially distance, and receive the vaccine. For more information and resources regarding COVID-19, please visit the Village website at www.lagrangeil.gov.
