THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
The Orland Township Highway Department, in partnership with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, state, and other local partners, will host a residential Household Hazardous Waste recycling event on Saturday, August 13 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Victor J. Andrew High School located at 9001 W. 171st Street, Tinley Park, IL 60487. Residents must present a valid State ID or a recent utility bill to enter the event. As this is a residential event, no business, agricultural industrial or government waste will be accepted.

Residents may bring aerosol paints, aerosol pesticides, antifreeze, cleaning products, drain cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, gasoline, herbicides, hobby chemicals, household batteries, insecticides, lawn chemicals, mercury, oil-based paints, paint thinners, pesticides, pool chemicals, solvents, and used motor oil for safe disposal.
Items that cannot be accepted include latex paints, acid batteries, agricultural waste, ammunition, biological waste, cell phones, commercial waste, controlled substances, explosives, electronics, farm oil, fire extinguishers, fireworks, institutional waste, needles/sharps, propane tanks, smoke detectors, or tires.
