The CommUNITY Diversity Group will hold its 31st Annual Race Unity Day Rally on Sunday, September 11, 2022 beginning at 3:00 p.m. This day has been proclaimed as "Race Unity Day" by the Village of La Grange. The annual event is intended to bring the community together to recognize its diversity and to celebrate the Village’s rich history and contributions made by all of its residents.
The CommUNITY Diversity Group also invites the community to the 2022 Summer Read Book "The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together" by Heather McGhee. Book discussions TBD.
Additional Diversity Days events include the screening and discussion of the documentary "Driving While Black: Race, Space and Mobility in America" at the La Grange Public Library on Friday, September 9, at 5:45 p.m. Further information about the 2022 Diversity Days in La Grange can be found here.
