The La Grange Police Department has made a second arrest in an investigation regarding a May 1, 2023, incident that occurred at the Lyons Township High School North Campus. The incident involved an altercation involving several juveniles and an adult, which resulted in the injury of two juveniles, one of whom was injured severely.
On May 5, 2023, the Police Department arrested James Hernandez Jr., who was charged with Battery.
A juvenile offender was arrested today. The charges include Attempted First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery - Great Bodily Harm. The investigation remains open and active at this time.
This was an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the community. The La Grange Police Department has worked closely with school administrators throughout its investigation and will continue to pursue leads as the case develops.
