[ARCHIVED] Election Judges Needed in La Grange

The Cook County Clerk's office has announced a need for additional people to work as election judges in La Grange on Election Day - April 5, 2011.

Each Election Day, more than 10,000 election judges are needed to ensure that polling place operations in suburban Cook County run smoothly and that elections are carried out fairly, honestly and accurately. Election judges are responsible for supervising the conduct inside polling places and helping voters.

All election judges must be either registered Cook County voters or an eligible high school or college student. Election judges must have transportation to and from their polling place.

Election judges can receive up to $170 every election. This includes working Election Day, successfully completing their training and assisting with polling place set-up before Election Day.
